The campus life is semi-regimental and the time spent on the campus is well regulated in terms of discipline. Physical exercise, parade training, games and extra-curricular activities are compulsory. Breach of discipline is dealt with as per our code of conduct. Trainees are not given the liberty to be on their own or leave the campus without authority at any time. The objective of discipline and isolation is to prepare them for a career at sea where strict professional discipline is required and maintained and normal socialization has a different definition. Trainees are expected to turn out smartly, clean shaved, in proper uniform or working gears, with navy trimmed hair and clean clipped nails and polished/clean shoes on time and every time. The same applies to their liberty when going on short leave to city as their conduct and outturn reflects on the academy.
